TOMS No Shoes Day

Today is TOMS Shoes One Day Without Shoes day where the shoe company has asked individuals to go without shoes in order to bring attention to the many millions of people who walk barefoot everyday.

The company’s commitment to donating a pair of shoes to a child in need with every pair of shoes sold is going further today to draw attention to the fact that 1 million people in Ethiopia alone suffer from Podoconiosis, a disease that comes from walking with just your bare feet across volcanic soil.  This disease alone is 100% preventable if you can just afford a pair of shoes.

We love TOMS Shoes and the great work that they do.  Now, who’s going without shoes today?!
