Tips For a Greener Easter Holiday
This weekend brings the Easter holidays and that means egg hunts, Easter baskets and egg dying. So, why not try to make your holiday weekend a little greener this year? Here are some helpful tips to bring more green to your Easter.
1. Green Easter Baskets: Instead of buying another Easter basket this year, just reuse the one from previous years or stop by Goodwill. Also, use newspaper clippings instead of buying cheap plastic green grass.
2. Better and Greener Goodies: Get local this year with fresh fruit from local farmers, or check out that new chocolatier that you’ve been eying. Maybe even add a solar-powered toy.
3. Safer Easter Eggs: If you’re going to be dying eggs this Easter, spring for some organic and cage-free eggs, along with using natural dyes.
4. For Greener Easters To Come: Store all your leftover items from this year safely so you can reuse them all next Easter.
Now, go out and have a great holiday weekend!
