If you’re a green parent and you have your favorite eco-friendly toy that you and your kids love, it’s time to give back the love with the newly established Goddard Schools and EcoChildsPlay Eco Friendly Toy Test.

All you need to do to submit your favorite earth-friendly toy is to check below and be sure the criteria is met and then submit your candidate here.

The top most green toy will receive the Eco Friendly Toy Seal along with being listed in the Top Ten Eco Friendly Toys of 2009.

So, here are the guidelines:

Must be eco friendly
Must be affordable (under $25)
Must encourages creative, social, and engaging play activities
Must be interactive and lends itself to child-initiated play
Must be appropriate for preschool to early elementary school-aged children

Coco Eco Magazine Resort Issue

If you haven’t yet discovered the paperless Coco Eco Magazine, then you’re in for a surprise with their sixth Resort Issue.

Launched back in December of last year, Coco Eco has strived to offer not only eco-friendly articles but also stylish and chic options.

This month’s issue features Rachael Leigh Cook on the cover and talks all about how to treat yourself to the earth-friendly resorts around the world.

Kelsey Grammar’s Daughter Spencer Only Dates Green

Kelsey Grammar’s actress daughter Spencer has one big heart for the environment, and only one rule when it comes to dating, you gotta be green!

In a recent interview, Grammar called herself “crazy” about water conservation and going easy on the earth.

“I grew up in California where there’s always a drought, so you can’t have the faucet on. When anybody comes over and they’re brushing their teeth, I’m like, ‘Turn off the faucet.’ You can’t leave the shower on to let it heat up. That’s unacceptable. I just get really upset. It causes a lot of arguments, actually, especially if I’m dating someone. It’s not a deal breaker, but it definitely becomes a source of anxiety.”

So, just in case you’re interested, Spencer only goes green.

Green Living Tips

With the idea that there’s no such thing as too many tips, we’re doing another Green Living Tiip Roundup to get everyone on the right, eco-friendly page.

Start using that bike people! Don’t continue to stare at it’s now-permanent home in the dusty garage. Hope on that baby and get gone.
Start composting. Yard and kitchen waste such as carrot peels and onion leftovers make up a whopping 30% of all garbage, so start your own composting and you’ll be thrilled with the results.
Just turn off the lights. If you plan on leaving your office or home for more than a little while, make an effort to really get those lights turned off or invest in auto-turn-off lights.
Sorry, but quit smoking. Second-hand smoke is a huge indoor air pollutant as well as a health hazard to you and your loved ones, including the furry ones too.
If you are relocating, try to find a place to live as close as possible so you can ride that bike and feel good about it.
