Making a stab at a green car, the team of researchers has used chocolate waste and vegetable oil on the biodiesel engine, and carrot fibers make up the steering wheel, not to mention the plant oil lubricants and the flax fiber seat.

While this green racecar is truly an engineering gem, it is not quite ready for a Formula 3 race, with a top speed of 140 miles, as well as the fact that open-wheel racing does not as of yet allow biofuel engines. But maybe we’re headed the right, if carroty, direction.
