Sweet Briar College Dorms Go Green
Students at Virginia’s Sweet Briar College can’t wait to move into their new, green dorms.
The Green Village is an eco-friendly project worth $3.5 million which will house 60 students in 1,600 square feet units that have been equipped with the environment in mind.
Everything from the appliances to the windows and toilets were designed using energy-saving techniques and students are counting the days until they can move into the new project.
A Junior at the college, Kelsey Smith, stated, “I’m excited. My first year I was really anxious but this year I’ve been counting down to get back, I’m really excited to get back.”
Congrats to Sweet Briar for keeping it green.
