going-green-tipsSo you keep hearing about going green, but you’re just not sure how to do that in your life. Well, that’s why we’re here and ready to help.

All you need to do is take a peek at these five ways to decrease your carbon footprint and you’ll be well on your way to greeny success.

1. Saving Energy: Set your thermostat a little bit lower in the winter and higher in the summer. A bonus is, you’ll be surprised by your monthly bill.

2. Saving Water: Take fewer and shorter daily showers to reduce the amount of water usage in your home. Again, you will be amazed at how much this will save you on heating and water bills.

3. Saving Gas: Bike dusty? Why not take it to work a couple of times a week if you can’t commit to the whole week? Or if the distance is too great, consider mass transit or carpooling.

4. Eating Smart: Try to buy more locally grown foods which will boost your community.

5. No More Bottled Water: Instead of continuing to buy those plastic bottles, invest in a nice water purifying system and reusable bottle.
