How To Enjoy An Eco-Friendly Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner we’re afraid to say, and what plans have you made so far?

If you’re still searching for ideas, why not let us show you how to have an eco-friendly holiday?

  1. Don’t go with an imported champagne this year that has to travel high and low to get to you, instead why not go to a local winery for your supplies?
  2. Cook this year instead of going to a restaurant, it’s more romantic and it saves on gas, your bank account and mass-produced foods.
  3. For chocolate, you know better than to go with Hershey’s, so make sure it’s organic chocolate this 2010.
  4. While we know you want to buy flowers, be sure to check that they’re from an eco-friendly source and not using high levels of pesticides on their growing site.
  5. Make a card instead of buying one at the store this year, that’s always more green and more sweet.
