How Much Do You Throw Away?

first-dslr-rebel-roll-097Today we’re going to explore how much you and your family are throwing into the garbage and what we can do about and with that waste.

As we discussed on Thursday, 30% of the average American household’s garbage is food waste such as carrot and potato peels.  But what else have you got in that dirty little secret of a garbage can?

Plastics?  Glass?  Paper?  Aluminum?  Now, we have harped enough on recycling, so we’re just going to go on the assumption that you are already in the good hands of a recycling plan and not look back.

So, what else have you got in there?  Hold on, let’s go see what’s in the office can.

  1. Coffee grounds
  2. Carrot peels
  3. Dry cleaning plastic someone was too lazy to throw away

Now it’s your turn, not what’s in your wallet, but what the heck is in your can?
