Eco-Friendly Pavement From Beer Bottles
Finally, you can drink beer and help the environment, it can’t get much better than that.
Wisconsin-based company FilterPave has created a way to make eco-friendly pavement from recycled beer bottles and other glass.
“It’s like a Rice Krispies bar,” director of Presto Geosystems, Bill Handlos stated.
FilterPave gets their glass from municipal recycling facilities and actually grinds them into smooth pebbles, where it is then solidified and used for driveways, pathways or parking lots. Ingenious!
