Eco-Friendly Car Washing Tips

It’s summer and you want to get outside and give ole Bessie a good cleaning, but how can you keep this watery task eco-friendly?  We have just the tip list for you!

US car maker Ford has some great suggestions on how you can keep your summer car washing green with as little water consumption as possible.

- Move the car onto the lawn to maximize your water usage by cleaning and watering at the same time
- Buy a water saving hose nozzle that cuts the water supply when it’s not needed
- Only use the hose for rinsing, not washing – fill a bucket with soapy water for the washing phase
- Use a rag or microfiber cloth to dry the car instead of paper towels
