10 Steps To a Greener Workout!
Thanks to reader Christina (thanks for the tip!) we’re going to be discussing how you can put a little bit more green into your workout regime. These eco-friendly tips are easy to implement and we’re always here to support your earth-friendly transition!
1. Be unique! Say not to the latest fashion fads and buy less of that expensive activewear.
2. Recycle those water bottles! If you haven’t yet switched over to using a safe and washable water bottle, be sure you’re recycling those one-use plastic ones.
3. Buy biodegradable body wash and shampoo. After that long bike ride, bathe with earth-friendly body products and feel even better about yourself.
4. Join a gym within walking distance and cut down on gas emissions. If there is a local gym close by, bike or foot it there and save money and the environment.
5. If you’re trying to be frugal, a walk outside is always free!
6. After that much-needed shower, towel off with reclaimed fabric towels or organic cotton towels.
7. The next time you want to upgrade to a new fitness machine, try scouting out craigslist or the thrift store, you’ll save some money and help someone else out in the process.
8. If you have to buy more activewear, go for the recycled or organic materials.
9. Buy used fitness DVDs from Amazon or the thrift store, reused is always better for the wallet and your green pride.
10. Don’t be afraid to turn a green leaf, just because you fall back on it sometimes, get back up on that horse!
